DOs:
1. Keep the idols facing East- West direction. Either facing East or Facing West
2. Keep idols of small size.
3. North East is a Generic good location for Pooja Room. If North East of the house is not available, pooja room can be made in other directions as per horoscope.
DONTs:
1. Never keep temple/ God Idols in South West of the house.
2. Never keep more than 1 idol of each God in the home mandir.
3. Never keep God Idols or make a prayer room in Master Bedroom.
4. Never keep Ancestor pictures along with God Idols.
5. Do not make a mandir under the staircase or under a beam.
6. Never keep God Idols as décor in the house, especially facing the entrance door or outside the entrance door. (Remember the story when Lord Ganesh was kept at the door by Goddess Parvati)
